From November 10-16, 2024, Wisconsin took center stage at Food & Hospitality China (FHC) in Shanghai, followed by a productive trade mission to Hong Kong. Organized by the International Agribusiness Center, this initiative highlighted Wisconsin's world-class agricultural products, including award-winning dairy and globally renowned ginseng.

Four Wisconsin dairy businesses—Shinestone Trade LLC, Amlat LLC, Milk Specialty Global, and Orange Cheese Company—showcased dairy products, while the Ginseng Board of Wisconsin emphasized the unmatched quality of Wisconsin ginseng. The Wisconsin presence in the USA Pavilion at FHC drew more than 2,000 visitors, creating valuable connections between suppliers and buyers in these rapidly growing markets for high-quality, health-focused foods.

With 47 one-on-one meetings in Shanghai and Hong Kong, Wisconsin businesses had opportunities to build relationships and explore new market opportunities. Visits to premium retailers, restaurants, and distributors provided additional insights into consumer trends and preferences, further equipping businesses to succeed in the region.

China's increasing demand for healthy, premium foods and Hong Kong's strategic position as a trade hub reinforce the importance of these markets for Wisconsin's agricultural exports.
